After rejecting them at the border, Greece accepts Albania's help to put out the fires

9 fire engines with 48 personnel left today from Albania to help neighboring Greece, which has been fighting fires for 5 days.
The Albanian forces were rejected at the border by official Athens for hours, on the grounds that the needs for intervention from the ground had been met.
"We have been informed by the Greek side that it is no longer necessary to interfere with the land modules provided by Albania because they have been completed by other countries", announced our Ministry of Defense.
Por më vonë, në orët e pasdites, Greqia ka pranuar ndihmën e vendit tonë. Kryeministri grek, Kyriakos Mitsotakis ka bërë edhe një falenderim publik në Twitter:
Our thanks go out to Albania, for sending to Greece 48 firefighters and 9 vehicles to join us as we fight the wildfires in Alexandroupoli. Thank you, Albania. 🇦🇱🇬🇷@ediramaal

Një ditë më parë edhe Kryeministri Edi Rama shkroi një mesazh solidariteti me Greqinë për situatën e rëndë në të cilën ndodhet për shkak të zjarreve.
It is so sad to watch our beautiful neighboring country constantly suffer from wildfires, while the brave Greek people and all of them in uniform fighting against such devastations deserve our full solidarity and profound admiration🇦🇱❤️🇬🇷 pic.twitter.com/nr5sMwnBzU

The relations between the two countries have been tense after the arrest of Fredi Beleri. Prime Minister Edi Rama was not invited to an informal dinner of Western Balkan leaders in Thessaloniki.
