New equipment from the US that will serve for better quality investigations
The US Embassy has provided some new equipment to the Prosecution that will serve in the fight against corruption, organized crime, money laundering and narcotics trafficking.
These devices are to support the investigative capacity of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
The following is the announcement of the American Embassy:
"Prosecutors in Albania are at the forefront of the fight against corruption, organized crime, money laundering and narcotics trafficking. The Embassy of the United States of America supports their efforts to advance justice reform, strengthen the rule of law, and further strengthen democratic institutions. This week, Director of International Drug Affairs and Law Enforcement Ben Rockwell and Resident Legal Advisor Michelle Lakomy discussed U.S. support with Attorney General Olsian Cela. The Embassy donated equipment to support the investigative capacity of the Office of the Prosecutor General and to achieve these essential goals for Albania's progress towards full European integration.
