The investigation begins for a possible deconstruction of the sensational operation of SPAK
The Special Prosecution and the State Police yesterday conducted operations in several districts of the country and out of 32 arrest warrants executed only 18 of them. Some of the crime bosses were not found in their homes, although SPAK leader Arben Kraja said they had been located before. After many reactions to a possible deconstruction of the sensational operation, including the head of SPAK who issued charges against the Police, came the reaction from the Police Oversight Agency.
Through a press release, the Police Oversight Agency stated that it is verifying any suspicion if there has been a leak.
The Police Oversight Agency (AMP) is verifying any suspicion if there has been a leak of information, during the operation conducted by the Special Prosecution Against Corruption and Organized Crime and the State Police, in the framework of criminal proceedings no. 75/2022, through which were assigned and executed the personal security measures of the coercive character "Prison arrest" for 32 citizens, among them a police officer.
At the end of this operation, the Police Oversight Agency assures the public and the media that it will investigate with the utmost seriousness any suspicion of possible leakage of information by police officers, as well as any involvement, if any, in illegal activities.
AMP remains committed to its mission of ensuring law enforcement and invites citizens to report any case of abuse or violation of the law by State Police employees, by calling the green number 0800 9090.
