16,000 graduates closed the first round of University registrations, while the second round of online applications for the rest begins on September 15.
5,500 graduates are expected to apply in the second round of registration, which lasts until October 1. Then in the study programs where there are free quotas, candidates who have applied to U-Albania can continue to register directly at the university until all quotas are filled.
Even this year, from the first round, some of the priority branches are less in demand. In the physics branch, only 14% of the quotas have been exhausted. Chemistry and Italian will not be offered this year at the University of Vlora, while only 8.5% of graduates are enrolled in the teaching department. There has been low interest in history, psychology and foreign languages programs and some branches of Agriculture.
More than 400 students were registered at the University of Korça in the first round. Rector Dhimitri Bello says that the 2-year programs as a whole have had a decrease in the number of students. The "Philosophy Sociology" program has not had any registrations, while the 2-year Office Support Program for Communication, Library and Archives is also among those at risk.
