Decision adopted / Albania and Northern Macedonia will have common border points
The Republic of Albania and that of Northern Macedonia will have common border points in the divisions between the two countries. The agreement was approved today at the meeting of the Council of Ministers.
This decision stipulates that the four land crossing points between Albania and Northern Macedonia, in Trebisht, Qafëthanë, Tushemisht and Gorica will have only one counter that will be operated by the Albanian authorities and those of Northern Macedonia, thus avoiding two stops.
This practice has previously been followed by the Albanian state only for border crossings that divide the country with Kosovo.
