The perfect way to tell others via email to leave you alone on vacation

You are going on vacation. All that's left to do is write the message that will free you from e-mail—and therefore, your work life.

A survey by cloud software company Qualtrics earlier this year found that 49% of respondents did at least an hour of work per day while on vacation.

Don't apologize for the break. Remove email notifications from your phone or delete the entire app if you're brave enough.

Another way is to write the perfect "getting out of the office" message. It should be professional and realistic. You should try to avoid: details and make it clear that you will only be able to respond once you return to work.

Here's an example:

Hello,

I am out of the office with no access to email and will not be able to respond to your message until I return on September 15th. If the matter is urgent contact x person (someone who is available at work) so they can help you until then.
