Surrogate births in Albania, this is what the new draft law says

The draft law on sexual and reproductive health for the Ministry of Health is not final as it is subject to consultations from experts and civil society.
The reaction of the Minister of Health, Albana Koçiu, comes after the opposition's accusations about surrogate pregnancy that this law destroys the concept of the family.
"The law is in the consultation phase and aims to regulate reproductive health. I invite the experts to give their opinion".
For experts, the law does not harm the concept of family, but it helps many women who for health reasons cannot have a pregnancy, nor does it harm the health of the surrogate woman.
Experts also dwell on the articles on the invitro procedure in Albania, for which they say that this law regulates the legal framework as until now it was offered by several licensed clinics in the country.
