Head of SPAK, Kraja: This is what the money confiscated from criminal activities was used for
One day after the finalization of the "Golden Bullet" operation, where 18 people were arrested and there are still some wanted, the head of SPAK, Arben Kraja reported to the Law Commission.
During his speech, Kraja clarified what the money confiscated from criminal activities was used for. Kraja says that experimental laboratories have been set up in order to work.
"We have set up a laboratory of digital expertise with funds confiscated from criminal activity. We applied, we received the fund, the equipment was purchased. We have hired three of the best experts in the country and it has become efficient by the end of 2021. The prosecutors and investigators of BKH have been trained. For the last period, they have performed 118 expert acts ", said Kraja.
"We have to have infrastructure set up and then get systems. We have set up modern infrastructure. Our networks are certified. We have provided fiber optic connections. Gaining access has begun, which we use for the efficiency of the investigation. Working from paper system to electronic system is difficult. We are currently in the process of purchasing equipment. We had information with a number of institutions. We have appreciated the cooperation at the international level. We have had an increase in legal aid. 50% returned the answer, Kraja added.
