After the sad event with three family members from Gjilan who lost their lives after consuming some mushrooms, attention has turned to products that can be dangerous to health. The family collected the mushrooms themselves while they were in Lalzi Bay on vacation. Toxicologist Sonila Bitri has shown the dangers of such fungi and not only.

She says people often overlook the high risk posed by toxins in fungi, and touching internal organs can be fatal.

"Toxins from toxins are responsible for the clinical signs that this family has had. Gastrointestinal signs, vomiting and nausea which are the signs that usually gives and a common food intoxication, we consume a stale food and the clinical signs are similar to the signs of fungal poisoning. Nausea, vomiting, a little headache or fever are the first signs that fungal poisoning patients have. And they do not always take the patient to the emergency room and this is the problem why fatalities occur. "It is neglected by individuals and the information they give to the doctor when they go to health centers."
