The Special Court rejects the request of Lefter Koka, does not accept the merger of the files for the incinerators
The Special Court has rejected the request of the former minister Lefter Koka for the merger of the files of the incinerators for which he is being tried.
During the session, Koka's lawyer requested that the case files for the Fier and Elbasan incinerators be merged. The former minister is accused of abuse of office and two security measures "arrest in prison" have been issued against him.
Koka was initially arrested accused of corruption in the procedure for the Fier incinerator, where he is suspected to have benefited 1.2 million euros. Also, SPAK claims that Koka has benefited 3.7 million euros for favors in the Elbasan incinerator.
