The swearing-in day of the new President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, who takes the 5-year mandate after the departure of Ilir Meta, today dressed Tirana in the red and black colors of the national flag.
The Municipality of Tirana has decided to give festive colors to the capital for the ceremony which is expected to take place this afternoon in the Presidency.
Even the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has posted some photos of the decoration with red and black flags along the "Martyrs of the Nation" boulevard.
"The capital has always respected the presidents. With the great hope that we will finally have a normal president, the city of Tirana is decorated in red and black ready for the ceremony", Mayor Veliaj writes not without irony about President Meta who is leaving office.
