Two food factories have been blocked in Debar. This is because during the inspections, they were found to produce food products in inappropriate hygienic conditions.

This action is contrary to the law 'On Food'. For this, the police arrested the two owners of the workshops and blocked their activities.

The police operation codenamed "PUNISHTJA" against informality is successfully finalized, to crack down on the illegal activity of food production.

Two workshops that were used for food production are blocked, 2 owners are prosecuted.

From the specialists of the Section for Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime in DVP Dibër, criminal proceedings were initiated against the citizens:

MK, 55 years old, resident in Shupenza

MP, 65 years old, resident in Peshkopi.

The criminal proceedings against them started after, during the controls exercised by the Specialists for Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime in cooperation with the National Food Authority, they exercised surprise controls in some workshops that were suspected of being used illegally for the production of food for consumption.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance in Dibër, for the criminal offenses "Fraud with food products", "Concealment of income" and "Exercising activity without being registered with the tax authorities".
