From 09:00 to 15:00, the 11 candidates in the race for the general director of the State Police were interviewed at the Ministry of the Interior by the special commission in the final control.
The commission is expected to select the 3 most quoted names, which will be passed on to the Minister of the Interior, Ervin Hoxha. Only one of them will pass to Prime Minister Edi Rama on Friday, who next week after the government meeting, signs the appointment of the new director general of the State Police.
According to the media, the most favorite names are the current head of the Elbasan District, Ilir Proda, the director of the Durrës Police, Skënder Hitaj and Altin Mena, the deputy director of the Lezha Police.
