14 years in prison for Arbër Çekaj who trafficked 613 kg of cocaine
Today, the Court of Appeals announced the decision for Arbër Çekaj and other detainees who were seized 613 kg of cocaine in the Port of Durrës.
According to the media, Arbër Çekaj was sentenced to 14 years in prison, while he gave 10.8 years in prison to the company administrator, Donaldo Lushaj, and 8.8 years to the driver Armando Pezaku.
Arbër Çekaj was the owner of the warehouse where 613 kilograms of cocaine were seized on the land road "Maminas-Durrës".
The owner of the company, 38-year-old Arbër Çekaj, born on April 5, originally from Tropoja and resident in Durrës, is suspected of being one of the organizers of the criminal activity of cocaine trafficking from Colombia to Albania.
