The Milan Court of Appeals upheld the sentence of Brazilian footballer Robinho to 9 years in prison for sexual violence. The former player of Milan, Manchester City or Real Madrid was sentenced in the first instance in 2017 for an episode that occurred on January 22, 2013.

According to the reconstruction of the event, he and some of his friends had pushed a 23-year-old girl (of Albanian origin) to consume alcohol at a well-known disco in the capital of Lombardy until he lost consciousness and then raped her.

The sentence was also confirmed for one of Robinho's accomplices, Ricardo Falco, while four others involved in the incident are still at large. Both were also sentenced to pay 60,000 euros to the victim.
