FFF presidential candidate ready to return Benzema to France
The doors of the national team can be reopened for Karim Benzema, who is considered one of the best strikers on the planet. However, since 2015, there is no more room for the "Turkeys" for the Real player.
The relationship between Karim Benzema and the French team was interrupted by the already famous "Valbuena" case. Exactly in 2015, the midfielder, who now plays for Olympiakos, accused the former teammate of asking him a large sum of money in order not to broadcast a video in which he appeared having sex.
Benzema, for his part, has always denied any involvement in the affair, but in the meantime he has been suspended indefinitely by the representative, which prevented him from participating in Euro 2016 and the 2018 World Cup (won by France) .
In favor of Benzema returning to the national team is Michel Moulin, one of the candidates for the presidency of the French Football Federation. Speaking to Le Figaro, he explained that, if he is elected, he will do his best to ensure that the Real Madrid striker is returned to Deschamps.
"Karim Benzema is an excellent striker and Didier Deschamps is an FFF employee. "If the coach is asked to play Benzema, he should let Benzema play."
Speaking to AFP, Moulin added that he is willing to act as a mediator in the matter.
"Undoubtedly, it is the technical commissioner who makes the invitations, but when we talk about management, it is the president's duty to gather Mr. Deschamps and Mr. Benzema and make them make peace. We can not deprive ourselves of a guy who is probably the best French striker. "The president of the federation should be involved in events of this kind."
