Rita Petro recounts the conversations, memories and love she experienced for 20 years with her partner, the president of the 'Albas' Publishing House, Latif Ajrullai, who passed away a few weeks ago after a heart attack, as a result of Covid. The poet recounts how each week he set out for northern Macedonia, a routine he always did because of his commitment to running their business.

"At the weekend I got on the phone and he said 'it seems to me that I have a little fever and I'm not leaving, that I will take the test'. The whole week was under the control of doctors. By the end of the week the scan was done and he came out with severe pneumonia. Went to one of the best hospitals in Skopje and we communicated. I have only 4 messages left without replying. The only day, that he seemed to feel very bad, he just said that to me on the phone: 'I'm not well'. It was the only time he did not reply to my messages. Even when we were talking, I do not remember it happening 24 hours that we did not speak, never in 20 years. Those messages that will never be answered are 4 messages and the last one was: 'Tell me you can't stand it so long without you'. "On Saturday morning when the doctor promised to give me a speech, that day we received the news that Kobzi had made a cardiac arrest."

The poet and director of the publishing house 'Albas' tells their routine, Sunday was always together, for lunch. She tells that their story started with an acquaintance in a literary evening in Macedonia.

"When we saw that we were both very brave and we could not live with such a great illegal love. In our case you have to make choices and our choice was for us to unite. When we first met we danced and in that dance we fell in love. With a little humor and irony, when I asked him, 'Will you die for me?' he said: 'Why should I die for you when I can live for you and have fun together'. I know Latifi will be with me all the time and sometimes even bother me that he will be with me all the time. Everything will go as I did with Latif, the only thing will be that I will not have him on my side. And I will suffer without telling others ", the poet closes her story.
