The easing of anti-COVID measures in Greece starts on April 3rd

Greek state authorities have announced that starting April 3 (Saturday) it will ease the strict anti-COVID measures that were imposed two months ago to minimize the cost of the third wave of the pandemic.

According to Greek media, from April 3, Greek citizens will have the opportunity to travel without limit (while previously they had to get permission on the government portal), and will be able to go in limited numbers to sports events.

From Monday, April 5, small businesses will open, but shopping malls will still remain closed. Meanwhile, on April 12, all gymnasiums in Greece will reopen, but wearing the mask remains mandatory in all facilities.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has promised that these are just the first steps out of the pandemic emergency situation, which has been made possible in part by supplying all residents with COVID tests that can be performed at home.
