Greece tightens measures against Covid-19, bars and restaurants closed

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has announced new pandemic measures in the country.

Through a press conference, the head of government has announced that the measures will enter into force on Tuesday morning and will be valid for one month, throughout November.

The new restrictions include the closure of restaurants in Attica, as well as in all "red" areas.

The new measures were deemed necessary after the outbreak of infection cases, which reached 1,690 yesterday. Earlier, Greek authorities tightened measures in areas where the number of infected is higher.
