9-year school in Peza Helmës, after the earthquake damage, ready to welcome

The 9-year school in Peza Helma, severely damaged by the earthquake of November 26, 2019, for 1 month will welcome its students, but in completely new and modern facilities, many times larger and better than those where they learned until 1 year and a half ago. The new building, rebuilt thanks to intensive field work so that the children of this community have the same conditions as the children in every new school in the capital, is in the final stage of works.

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, who today inspected the works for the new school, said that among other things he feels happy that the school is being finished and the work speaks more than anyone who threw mud a while ago, as well as through other works that are being built in Tirana.

'When I think about how it was and how it was done, day and night! There will be no more temptation for someone to leave the wonderful Peza, Peza Helmës and go to Tirana. The work itself speaks for all those who tried to poison the community of Peza Helmës. Today I am full of gratitude for the wonderful parents of Peza Helmes who invested with faith, not with hysteria and panic and did not allow politics to sow poison in Peza Helmes. I have only gratitude and thanks and I strongly hope that this work will be the most meaningful expression of what it means to have faith in the people who work. Their faith was rewarded, 'said Veliaj.

The mayor of Tirana said that on the other side of the working people still stand the people of violence who threaten to kill as 30 years ago.

'When you hear these quarrels and debates, these stories' I killed you and cut your hand', 'we will do it like in Elbasan', you say what worlds are they? We are talking about schools for books, for learning, while we are facing some who have not learned in 30 years. People are no longer threatened with murder. The good thing is that two more days and these wonders are over. On Sunday we vote as citizens, as Europeans, for citizenship and for civilization. On Monday, when the work boils again, we return to the construction site, 'declared Veliaj.
