Matteo Renzi removes two ministers from the cabinet, the Conte government falls
The government of Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte falls in Italy, following the decision of former Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, who has removed 2 of his ministers from the government cabinet.
Matteo Renzi has announced the withdrawal of the two ministers Bellanova and Bonetti, part of the party "Italia Viva", from the government, explaining that: "To resign requires courage and a sense of responsibility", while adding that the crisis has not been opened by us "It has been open for months."
The move comes after the "interim meeting" between Conte and President Mattarella, who stressed "the need to get out of this state of uncertainty quickly" given the "pandemic".
This is the second time that the government of Prime Minister Giusepe Conte has fallen.
In the coming days it will be seen whether Conte will manage to have the majority again, or in these conditions Italy will go to early elections.
