Photo-Video / 6 dead and 202 injured in devastating earthquake in Izmir: Search under rubble continues
6 dead and 202 injured is the balance so far after the magnitude 7 earthquake that hit the Turkish city of Izmir and the island of Samos in Greece, creating a tsunami. The quake struck at 13:51.
Turkey's Disaster Management Authority says one of the victims drowned off the coast of Samos. Unfortunately there are reports although unofficial that there are many people left under the ruins of the collapsed palaces of Izmir, in over 20 of them and dozens of others damaged. Izmir is the city of 4.5 million inhabitants.

Cars and household items such as refrigerators, chairs and tables were pulled through the streets of Seferihisar by fast-moving water.
