Zani Çaushi wants the years of imprisonment to be calculated: They made a

The former leader of the Vlora Gang, Myrteza Çaushi, known as Zani Çaushi, has asked the Korça Court to calculate the years of imprisonment. Zani Çaushi demands that the days of detention in Tirana be counted, when he was arrested before going to Burrel and from Burrel prison to the high security prison in Drenova.

According to him, the time of detention in the years 98-99 was not calculated, while his lawyer, Arben Lena, the calculation of the time of detention was wrong.

According to the media, Lena has stated that there have been miscalculations in all times of his detention and in particular in the years 98-99, when Zani Çaushi was released for 1 month and was re-arrested again.

Recall that in July he addressed the court, requesting parole, a request that was rejected by the judiciary.

Who is Zani Çaushi

Myrteza Çaushi, the man considered the 'strongman' of Çole, was arrested in September 1997 and after a fierce battle with the court he was able to obtain innocence and be released in March 1999.

After a gunfight that left two people dead and wounded himself, Zani Çaushi was re-arrested in November 1999 and has since been held in prison cells, having been sentenced to life in prison for forming armed gangs, murder, hostage-taking, injuries, etc.
