I dropped out of school because of bullying. I have not left the house for 7

"A room, two windows, a sofa and a desk. Of course even the computer monitor turned on all the time. My only contact with the outside world. "I am Marco Broça, 25 years old and I live at home".

This is the story of Marco who actually lives in Treviso, Italy, but the location matters little if he does not leave the house, except to buy to eat when his mother is at work.

He lives with his sister and his nursing mother who do most of the things. He suffers from chronic dermatitis, but that is not all. This disease has made him suffer from something more, bullying. So it has become "hikikomori" (Japanese term meaning young people distanced from society).

"I have suffered all my life from chronic dermatitis caused by the stress of my parents' divorce. Dad thinks the vaccines I made as a baby caused me. But no, the truth is that I also inherited it from his tribe. Once in high school I was hospitalized for 10 days and after I left, I decided not to go back to school.

I sat on my bed and at first did not allow anyone to enter my room. Once Mom turned off the internet and got extracurricular books to read.

From the sixth grade I could no longer look at myself in the mirror. My skin was red and it remained irritated most of the time. It caused me a terrible itch. Then, after itching, I was bleeding. Friends looked at me with disgust. He called me "leper" or "zombie". Leprosy from the signs, zombies from the black circles under the eyes. I had itching and stayed awake all night so in the morning I had black eyes.

The teachers did not help me either.

I never did my homework because of the nervousness that my itchy skin gave me. Mom and teacher called me lazy. "I agreed with them and gave up," Marco told the Huffington Post.

In his lonely life there is only one ally, the computer. Shows that he stays with her for 7 years from 10 to 23 hours a day. Move enough to eat.

However, I do not use the computer only for social networks. He trains young enthusiasts to become the champion of "Overwatch" or "Valorant".

Plays video games and offers 10 euro / hour courses for those who want the secrets of different games to win.

Marco shows that sometimes he earns up to 400 euros a month, sometimes he earns nothing.

He confesses that he has recently joined the Hikikomori organization with its branch in Italy. He is aware that he suffers from this syndrome and he knows that he is not the only one.

Marco points out that he has problems with being overweight from sitting for a long time and that even if a friend hugged him, he would feel embarrassed. He shows that he is trying to get out of this vortex, but has just started the change.
