Fiscal amnesty takes time. Deputies demand to be postponed

The fiscal amnesty is scheduled to be passed in the Assembly within this July, but the deputies of the Committee on Economy asked for the voting to be postponed until September.

"This is not a withdrawal of the government. We rejected this bill. We expect it to take all the time we need to agree. It is not a withdrawal. When we launched it we did not think how many comments and suggestions would come to us. We appreciate the fact for the time. Government "welcomes all suggestions, proposals and remarks. But to give it the right value and time," said MP Evis Kushi.

"But this is not a withdrawal. More seriousness is needed. We did a very professional hearing. We asked all stakeholders, thank you for the time spent, comments here and at the Law Commission. It is not about withdrawal at all, but professionalism ", said the chairwoman of the Commission Milva Ekonomi.

Minister Denaj meanwhile said that the working groups in the Ministry of Finance will work during August for bylaws.

"We have actually discussed that the public consultation has been done with stakeholders. In the meantime, I have set up teams for draft acts, ie bylaws, to take advantage of August for public discussion. A law without bylaws cannot be called complete, so we are continuing with the work ", added Denaj.
