The real and dramatic story behind Winnie The Pooh (for you who don't know

Winnie The Pooh was written by Alan Alexander Milne, a Londoner who was born in 1882 and had a passion for literature, even though his degree was in mathematics.

When he was very young he faced World War I and on July 7, 1916 he was wounded. He was sent to England where he suffered post-traumatic stress disorder caused by the war. Something he has shown in his autobiographical book "It`s too late now".

"I think Hitlerism is worse than war and it must end first ," Milne wrote.

Milne continued his life, became a father in 1920 and bought a house whose yard was filled with the boy's toys. It was there that Winnie The Pooh came to life.

The first story he wrote was very well received, he made a novel, some fairy tales and a few years later Milne sold the right to use the image of his doll to Stephen Slesinger. The latter gave the rights to Disney which then went on to create new events.

Milne and Christopher

The success that Winnie The Pooh had around the world did not bring any good to Christopher, Milne's son. He was always ridiculed by friends for all the stories they read in his father's books and that the latter was inspired by the boy. Milne continued to create and enjoy success and this brought cooling to their relationship, so much so that in recent years when the writer remained in a wheelchair, the son very rarely saw him.

A fame that had a very high price, sacrificing the relationship that son.
