Sanitary Scandal, Nurses Association: Not everyone should be put in a bag, but equally equal before the law
The reaction of the Albanian Nurses Association was strong regarding the scandal of the sanitary ware of the Shefqet Ndroqi hospital, which was removed as a nurse, taking 8 million ALL from the daughter of a patient hospitalized with Covid, who passed away after almost 25 days hospital stay. The court imposed the measure of arrest with imprisonment, while the Nurses of the country support the position of the judge of the case who has requested an in-depth investigation as it is suspected that this was not the only case that occurred.
In response, the Association of Nurses calls for all staff to be investigated and verifications made: Not all should be put in a bag but stained in these types of corruption that have consequences for the patient's life should be punished and become examples for us!
The Albanian Nurses Association condemns the act of corruption that occurred in Shefqet Ndroqi Hospital under the used name of Nurses.
As it is not the first case that different persons commit such acts and the name of the Nurses is tarnished everywhere, they should be punished.
The Association of Nurses calls on the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the Prosecution and any responsible institution to investigate the case to the end, bringing out all those involved in this corrupt case resulting in the death of the patient. before justice and the law all must be equal.
Also, all the files of the personnel who practice the profession should be investigated, as they are legally in the practice of their profession, since we have long called for the verification of the files of Nurses as a considerable number practice the profession in violation, such as: practicing the profession or without the necessary qualifications, persons who do not meet the criteria to be in a position but due to many reasons they are in that position and have caused damage to the system.
We demand a fair and transparent investigation of all staff and work done in all covid hospitals and for all persons in management positions as no action of any staff is done without informing the chief or head nurse of each ward where he works, this throws shadows of doubt that in these times unfortunately from heroes have turned into killers of patients.
Not everyone should be put in a bag but those stained in these types of corruption that have consequences for the patient's life should be punished and become examples for the future.
Corruption in any form is not justified by fatigue, stress, low wages, nothing else.
Hoping that the investigations of this case and of any other denunciation made both for the loss of patients' lives long ago and for corruption cases will be fully clarified.
The Nurses Association distances itself from any kind of case where professionals are involved in such affairs but stands firmly by the side of any honest professional who tries to tarnish the image and work of nurses under their own name or that of nurses at all times. are first on the front to serve patients and not politicians, bosses, coordinators, administrators or head nurses. After the oath that every professional has taken is made to serve the patient of no one else.
Albanian Nurses Association.
