Restoration of quarantine? Confindustria: Consequences to the point of coping with disturbances of peace and order
Quarantine can be restored in Albania if the capacity of hospitals is full and the number of infected will increase significantly! This was said by experts, members of the Technical Committee and Prime Minister Rama, who stressed that a second closure would be another blow to the Albanian economy, but currently the closure is not an option! The same opinion is shared by Confindustria, which demands that there be no second quarantine return to the country.
Based on the discussions, but also the decisions in other countries, such as France, which has imposed a curfew in 7 cities, including Paris, Confindustria has reacted with a statement, quoted by SCAN where it says:
Otherwise the consequences would be devastating for macroeconomic stability, business and Albanian citizens in the long run. The consequent economic consequences would be so severe for the survival of Albanian citizens, that they could produce to the point of facing disruption of social peace and constitutional order.
Confindustria mentions the fact that the Albanian economy suffered a very severe blow as a result of the closure against the pandemic in the first 6 months of 2020:
The unsuccessful year in the tourism industry and the sharp decline with almost 60% of emigration revenues have clearly slowed down the economic recovery.
Restoring the closure to the economy and the movement of citizens would inevitably lead to the safe bankruptcy of many categories of large, medium and small businesses, significantly increasing unemployment and lowering the level of well-being, warns Confindustria Gjergj Buxhuku.
Confindustria at the end of the statement says:
It is estimated that bankruptcy in particular would be irreversible for most local industries. The above would seriously jeopardize the further threatening capture of domestic markets by competing foreign products and services with incalculable long-term consequences for economic development and the well-being of Albanian citizens!
