An Albanian delegation is on an official visit to Northeastern Syria for the repatriation operation of the remaining Albanians in the Syrian Al-Hol camp.
The news is reported by the Kurdish-Syrian media, which have also published photos from the meeting, which was attended by the Albanian Consul in Lebanon Marc Ghorayeb, together with Gledis Nano, director of the Counter-Terrorism Directorate at the State Police and Indrit Doda, also from this directorate.
"AHNA News" writes that the Albanian side was received by officials Abdul Karim Omar and Fenner Kaait, part of the foreign relations department in the city of Kamishli, the province where the Al Hol camp is located. This region is governed by Kurdish authorities.
According to local media, in addition to the assistance requested by the Albanian delegation to repatriate Albanian children and women, there was also talk of cooperation in the field of security and the fight against terrorism.
A few weeks ago, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Sander Lleshaj, stayed in Lebanon for a few days on this issue.
