Decision made: No customs fee will be paid for anti-Covid vaccines arriving in Albania
The customs tariff for coronavirus vaccines that will be imported in Albania will be zero. The decision was taken by the Council of Ministers and was signed today by Deputy Prime Minister Erion Brace, by order of Prime Minister Rama.
According to the decision, the change in tariffs allows vaccines against Covid-19 but also other vaccines which have a specific code, to be imported in Albania without tax.
Three days ago, Prime Minister Rama and Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu announced that the first 975 doses of the vaccine have arrived from the Pfizer company, while the vaccination process has been going on for three days, initially with doctors and epidemiologists, at the center set up at Air Albania.
The decision enters into force after its publication in the Official Gazette.
DECISION ON AMENDMENT TO DECISION NO.1087, DATED 24.12.2020, OF THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS, "ON THE APPROVAL AND OFFICIAL PUBLICATION OF THE COMBINED NOMENCLATURE OF 20 GOODS"
Pursuant to Article 100 of the Constitution and Articles 1 and 12, of Law no. , Council of ministers.
1. In link no.1, attached to decision no.1087, dated 24.12.2020, of the Council of Ministers, in the second part, section VI, "Products of the chemical or allied industries", chapter 30, "Pharmaceutical products ", Tariff code" 3002 20 00 - Vaccines for human medicine, free of charge - ", is amended and replaced with tariff codes, as follows:
"? 3002 20 10 - - SARS-associated coronavirus vaccines (SARS-CoV species), duty free -
? 3002 20 90 - - Other, duty free -".
2. The Ministry of Finance and Economy and the General Directorate of Customs are in charge of the implementation of this decision.
This decision enters into force after its publication in the "Official Gazette".
