The agreement on the import of vaccines from Pfizer is approved on January 28 in the Assembly
Albania's agreement with the anti-coronavirus vaccine company Pfizer is voted / approved in the session of January 28. The news was announced after the publication of the three-week calendar of works of the assembly, where it is expected that other agreements and draft laws will be adopted in this period.
Agreement according to the document that is expected to receive the green light in the Assembly:
“On the approval of the text of the agreement, for production and supply, by and between Pfizer Export BV, and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Albania, the Institute of Public Health, and the Minister of State for Reconstruction, Authorization of the procedure for permitting the introduction and administration of anti-covid-19 vaccines in the Republic of Albania and their use in the population ”.
The first 975 doses of the Pfizer vaccine have arrived in Albania, which are being stored at temperatures below minus 80 degrees, in IPH refrigerators. Experts in the country have said that in the third week of January 10 thousand doses will arrive, while in February another 20 thousand doses of the vaccine will arrive.
It was Prime Minister Rama who 14 days ago announced the agreement, but without specifying and emphasizing that the agreement was in principle:
