Kakavija will be closed tomorrow! Here are the categories that will be allowed to cross in Greece
From tomorrow, November 24, Kakavija customs from 7:00 to 7:00 on November 25 will be closed due to the strike of the Greek side.
Regarding this situation, the Customs Administration clarifies which categories may be transferred to Kakavija tomorrow.
Exceptions will be made only for pedestrians, trucks transporting foodstuffs stored in refrigerated conditions, trucks transporting live animals and vehicles for health emergencies or deaths.
The General Directorate of Customs notifies all citizens and businesses that carry out import-export activity through the Kakavija customs point, that it will be closed for 24 hours. Greek Police authorities, based on an official notification sent to the Kakavija Border Police, clarify that due to the strike that will take place by Greek customs officers, there will be a work stoppage, starting the next day, dated 24 November, local Greek time 07:00 until 07:00 on 25 November. We clarify that during this time frame, both at the entrance and exit of the Greek customs, the passage of vehicles such as motorcycles, cars, vans transporting citizens and trucks transporting goods will not be allowed. According to the announcement of the Greek side, there will be an exception only for pedestrians, trucks transporting foodstuffs stored in refrigerated conditions, trucks transporting live animals and vehicles for health emergencies or deaths. Albanian Customs will be in constant communication to inform the public and business.
