'I asked, why don't you say publicly we love you very much, but we have to paint the house?' Rama tells the conversation with Macron
Prime Minister Rama delivered his speech at the Europa Park Forum in Munich. Rama spoke about Albania's integration into the EU, the opening of negotiations and the conversation with Macron.
"Emmanuel Macron has repeatedly said to me: If we agree it will not be easy for the right and for our elections.
I said: Why do not you say publicly that we love you very much, but we have to paint the house?
But no, they do not say that. In public, Albanians say so and so. They do not say they have their choices.
However, the opening of negotiations is very important, because it is our guide ", said Rama.
The Prime Minister also spoke about the unworthy presentation that is often made to Albanians, even in cases of gang capture. He recalled the case of a gang in the Netherlands with over 20 arrested, where it was presented to the media as an Albanian gang, but in fact the two Albanians arrested were the guards of the drug warehouse.
In the end, Rama called on everyone to visit Albania as a not at all dangerous, safe and hospitable country.
