German Embassy reopens: Important announcement for those waiting for a visa or applying
The German Embassy in Tirana announces that it has resumed its work today. The announcement posted on Facebook states that there will be a postponement of application times and dates and that those affected by these measures will be notified in person, which will take several weeks.
The visa sector reopens with limited capacity
As of Monday, November 23, the Visa and Passport Sector is open again. But the number of applications, which are processed every day, will be reduced. As a result, there will be mandatory postponement of application schedules and dates. Persons affected by these measures will be notified in person. But this may take a few weeks. Meanwhile, the distribution of visas issued passports continues in the usual time segments. Please keep in mind that until a second notification no legalizations can be made.
These measures are taken to protect the health of applicants and employees. Our goal is to maintain security in the service and possibly avoid a complete closure of the Visa Office due to Covid-19 cases. For this purpose we need to take appropriate measures. We ask for your understanding.
